The next regularly scheduled meeting of the Calcasieu Federation of Teachers' executive board has been set for Monday, March 8 at 4:30 p.m.

A meeting of the general membership of the CFT has been called for Thursday, March 25 at 6 p.m.  Please mark your calendars and make plans to attend this important meeting.

The Porter Scholars program offers four 4-year, $8,000 post-secondary scholarships to students who are dependents of AFT members, as well as 10 one-time $1,000 grants to AFT members to assist with their continuing education.

Scholarship applications can be downloaded from www.aft.org/aftplus/scholarships. Scholarship applications are due no later than March 31, 2010.
