St. Tammany Parish Superintendent of School Gayle Sloan has announced that she will retire at the end of June, 2010. Upon hearing of Superintendent Sloan’s retirement, St. Tammany Federation of Teachers and School Employees President Elsie Burkhalter said, “I believe that she has led this school system from good to great. /we will miss her leadership.”
