Beverly Filmore, a member of the United Teachers of New Orleans, received the Louisiana Federation of Teachers' Outstanding Leadership Award at the LFT's annual Paraprofessional and School Related Personnel Conference, held February 7 at the Baton Rouge Marriott Hotel. Filmore is a paraprofessional at James Weldon Johnson Elementary School.
The annual PSRP Conference recognizes the contributions of school support staff. It includes professional development workshops, briefings on important legislative and educational issues, and awards to honor the achievements of members.
