Volunteer on Election Day

Election Day is Saturday, November 16th. Join members and staff from LFT, the AFL-CIO and locals around the state to volunteer this election day! We need to knock doors, make phone calls, send texts and do everything we can to get out the vote for Governor John Bel Edwards and other pro-public education candidates.

Here's how you can help. If you are near any of these areas, please just stop and you will be set up with a plan to canvass or phone bank. Bring friends and family with you -- the more the better!

Baton Rouge
Location: 1233 Goverment St Baton Rouge LA 70802
Time: 9am - 7pm

New Orleans/Metairie
Location: 3200 Ridgelake Dr # 300, Metairie, LA 70002
Time: 9am - 7pm

Shreveport
Location: 3924 Greenwood Road, Shreveport LA 71109
Time: 10am - 2pm

Lake Charles
Location: 914 Hodges Street, Lake Charles LA 70801

If you are not located in any one of these locations you can still help out via virtual phone banking! Please contact either Ted or James when you are ready to start making calls and they will give you instructions on how to access the system and start having conversations with fellow Union members. (Using the LAN system we're able to keep track of who you contact, even when you're calling from the comfort of your home.)

Or you can sign up to volunteer with the official John Bel for Louisiana Campaign:

And most importantly, MAKE SURE YOU VOTE!
Bring your friends and family with you, to make sure they vote as well. Every vote counts!
